Reasons from D****************
In the modern digital economy, business is no longer defined by geographic borders but by the speed of innovation and the strength of digital ecosystems. Growing up in Southeast Asia, I witnessed firsthand how "Super Apps" like Gojek did not just sell services they communicated an entirely new lifestyle by connecting millions of users through a single digital interface. This intersection of technology, bing, and social impact is exactly my professional passion lies. I am applying for the International Business Adistration program at Shenzhen University because I believe that to lead in the future, one must master the art of managing these digital bridges within a global context. Since SZU is situated in the heart of Shenzhen—the "Silicon Valley of Hardware" and a global hub for high-tech manufacturing—it offers the perfect environment for me to turn my technical background into real-world leadership and adistrative skills.
My academic foundation comes Higher Level Business Management and Economics, I consistently utilized theoretical frameworks to understand market forces and organizational behavior. However, I realized early on that modern management requires more than just textbook theory it requires technical literacy. To bridge this gap between theory and practice, I joined Sentiunum, a startup hedge fund, as a Quantitative Trading Analyst intern. During this time, I taught myself Python and coding to analyze financial markets, achieving a 72.92% success rate in algorithmic modeling through rigorous backtesting. I now view these skills through the lens of Data-Driven Management, understanding that in global adistration, intuition must be backed by data to interpret user behavior, optimize digital strategies, and effectively manage technical teams.
My primary strength lies in my ability to build bs and platforms scratch, acting as both a creator and a manager. To explore the power of generative media, I launched an experimental music artist project on Spotify, managing the entire digital b identity and growing the audience to over 75,000 listeners in just four months. This project taught me a crucial lesson: in international business, content is highly scalable. I applied this same drive to co-founding Yet Enterprises, I developed YetTrack, a fintech app designed to solve financial literacy struggles among university students. Beyond development, I was responsible for communicating the products value to a global youth market, using organic social media strategies to reach nearly 800,000 acs and generating 3.2 million views on Instagram. Furthermore, my internship at Naughty allowed me to develop a custom AI-powered visual detection tool to fix inefficiencies in in-store merchandising. This was an exercise in operational management, requiring me to understand the workflow of store managers to ensure that technology streamlined operations rather than adding complexity.
I chose Shenzhen University specifically because Shenzhen is the epicenter of global e-commerce and digital innovation. There is no better place in the world to study International Business Adistration than in the city the future of digital retail and social commerce is being written. My experience as President of the BIDX Investing Club, I led a diverse team of four and managed a ¥460,000 portfolio, has sharpened my leadership and internal communication skills in high-stakes environments. I am eager to use the IBA curriculum’s rigorous financial and business analysis modules to help me tackle complex societal problems, mirroring the work I have begun with YetTrack. Ultimately, I want to serve as a bridge between China, my home ry, and the rest of the world, applying the lessons of Chinese innovation and adistration to global markets.- 3 months ago
