Entry Requirements

1.Applicants must be Non-Chinese citizens with valid foreign passports and shall be 18-25 years old. He / She should be in good health conditions and of good conduct. He / She should also abide by the Chinese laws, regulations and the rules of the university.

Applicants under the age of 18 by August 31th in the current year must provide the Power of Attorney as required.

2.Applicants should be graduated from high school or above (Applicants who are still in the last year of high school can provide expected graduation certificate for submitting application while the official graduation certificate must be provided before enrollment).

3.Applicants should meet the corresponding language level requirements (The language proficiency certificate must be within the validity period).

A minimum score of 180 in HSK4 for Science and Engineering
A minimum score of 180 in HSK5 for Liberal Arts, Medicine, Arts
No HSK requirement for Chinese Language and Literature & Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(TCSOL)

4.Comply with the regulations of the Ministry of Education's document [2020] No.12.

The No.12 Document of 2020 issued by the Ministry of Education, PRC is administered by the University. Two important items of the Document are to note. First, according to Article 5 of Nationality Law of The People's Republic of China, a person whose parents are both Chinese citizens and have both settled abroad, or one of whose parents is a Chinese citizen and has settled abroad, and who has acquired foreign nationality at birth shall not have Chinese nationality. Since 2021, those applying to study at universities or junior colleges of China as international students, should satisfy the following additional requirements:

1) Applicants must hold valid foreign passports or other relevant international recognized documents for at least 4 years; meanwhile, in the latest 4 years (by each April 30th of the year of University registration), the applicants must live overseas for more than 2 years (Living overseas for 9 months in a year can be regarded as 1 year, which is subject to the exit-entry stamps on passport.).

2) Applicants who have immigrated to other countries from the Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao or Taiwan and apply to study at universities or junior colleges of China as international students are required to satisfy the 1) requirement.

*1. Resume(from primary school to now)

*2. Non-criminal Record Certificate
-Please note that this document is valid for only 3 months. For instance, if you submit your -application in April, your non-criminal record must have been issued no earlier than January.
-Obtain a police clearance certificate from the local police station where you currently reside, confirming no criminal record in the past 6 months at the time of application.
-You need to translated it into CHINESE if it is not in Chinese; Then you need to get it notarized by local notary office and then get it certified by local Chinese embassy; If your country has joined the HAGUE convention then just do the Chinese translation and Apostille; Then you may need to mail original copy of non-criminal record and translation & certified(or Apostille) documents to the university in China.
-If you are currently in China, the certificate must be issued by the local Chinese police.
*3. Physical Examination Form
-Download the form template, print it, and bring it to a hospital for the required medical tests. The hospital will complete the form with your results.
-The medical examination must cover all items listed on the form.
-Ensure your photo is attached and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital after the examination.
-The medical results are valid for 6 months only.
-Forms that are incomplete, lack a final physician’s suggestion, missing the attending physician’s signature, official hospital stamp, or applicant’s sealed photo or contain abnormal examination results will be considered invalid.
-The document must be in English or Chinese.

*4. Study Plan
-Bachelor’s applicants: Suggested content includes: self-introduction; reasons for choosing China, this university, and this major; study plan in China; career goals; and conclusion. Highlight your motivation, interests, academic foundation, and fit with the chosen university and major.
-Must be written in Chinese or English.
-Length: Around 500 words.
-Include your name and handwritten or electronic signature (no typed signatures), and submit a scanned copy of the signed document.
-Ensure the university and program names are correct and specific to the application; do not use the same study plan for multiple universities.
*5. Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate
-For Bachelor’s degree programs taught in Chinese, HSK 5 with scores above 180.
-No HSK requirement for Chinese Language and Literature & Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages(TCSOL) program applicants.
*6. Photo Copy of Passport Info Page
With name, passport number & expiration date, and photo included(Photocopy of valid passport identification page. Passport must be an ordinary passport and be valid for at least six months. Applicants currently residing in China must include a copy of the page containing a valid visa or residence permit.)
